AEW Rampage Results 5/1 - Jay White Takes On Dante Martin And More

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "AEW Rampage" on May 1, 2024, coming to you live from the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on a special day of Wednesday at 10 PM ET!

As of writing, only one match has officially been announced for tonight's show. One third of the reigning Unified World Trios Champions Jay White will be colliding with Top Flight's Dante Martin. The pair came face-to-face on the April 27 episode of "AEW Collision" when White and his fellow Bang Bang Gang members Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn retained their title over Dante, his brother Darius Martin, and Action Andretti.

We are live! Excalibur, "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard, and Tony Schiavone greet audiences at home as we see medical personnel check on Kenny Omega after The Elite's attack to him on "AEW Dynamite". Omega gets stretchered out of the ring and to the back. He looks to get loaded into an ambulance, but Okada and The Bucks beat down Dax Harwood as Jack Perry attacks Wheeler. Harwood is sent crashing through the barricade, and The Bucks dump Omega off the stretcher.

Jay White then makes his way down to the ring. Dante Martin follows.

The bell rings and Dante fires off right hands on White. The pair spill out of the ring and continue to brawl before getting back in the ring. White fires off stomps on Dante in the corner, then delivers a chop to him and follows it up with a tijeras. The pair end up back on the outside, and Dante lands another chop. He follow it up with an elbow and a tope suicida. Dante lands a knee on White and gets him back into the ring and looks to fly off the top rope, but White trips him.

Back from the break, White lands a chop on Dante. Dante responds with a dropkick and a series of chops, then clotheslines White out of the ring. He gets him back inside, but White catches him with a chokeslam. Dante lands a back elbow, but White hits a pair of chops. Dante fires off elbows and chops on White, then delivers a moonsault off the top rope. White connects with a snap suplex and Blade Runner for the win.

Winner: Jay White

After the match, White helps Dante up but sends him crashing into the mat with a double underhook flatliner.

Back from the break, we head backstage to Renee Paquette and Big Bill. Bill makes a plea to Chris Jericho to let him sit under "The Learning Tree". Jericho appears and thanks Katsuyori Shibata for their FTW Championship match and fans for their support, then agrees to be Bill's mentor.

Back at ringside, Kyle O'Reilly makes his way down to the ring. Rocky Romero follows.

The bell rings and the two lock up. They take turns locking submission holds in on one another before O'Reilly lands a boot on Romero. He cinches in an Ankle Lock, but Romero fights his way out of it with a kick that sends O'Reilly crashing to the outside. He follows it up with a tope suicida to level him, then looks to land a second one. O'Reilly sees him coming and sends him crashing into the mat, then locks in an Arm Bar.

Back from the break, O'Reilly and Romero take turns landing kicks on one another's thighs. O'Reilly connects with a clothesline on Romero before the pair teeter on the ropes. Romero sends O'Reilly crashing into the mat and goes for a pin, but O'Reilly kicks out. Romero fires off more kicks on him, but O'Reilly lands a knee on his face. O'Reilly locks in a Body Scissors on Romero, but Romero counters into an Arm Bar. Romero then pins O'Reilly twice, but O'Reilly kicks out both times and rolls up Romero for the win.

Winner: Kyle O'Reilly

Skye Blue then makes her way down to the ring. Willow Nightingale follows.

The bell rings and Nightingale cracks a garbage can lid on Blue's spine that she carried to the ring with her, knocking the kendo stick Blue is holding out of her hand. The two then end up in the crowd and continue brawling amongst the fans. Nightingale exposes the top of one of the barricades, then sends Blue's face bouncing off it. Blue returns the favor, but Nightingale grabs a chair. Blue climbs onto the barricade and flies, but Nightingale hits her with the chair and pins her on the floor. Blue kicks out.

Nightingale grabs several chairs from under the ring and dumps them inside. She sets one up on the outside and lands a forearm on Blue, then sits her on the chair. She delivers an overhand chop to her, then looks to deliver a senton. Blue ducks out of the way and Nightingale is sent crashing into the chair.

Back from the break, Blue grabs a garbage can lid from under the ring. Nightingale lands a shoulder pounce on the outside that knocks the lid out of her hand, then gets her back in the ring and grabs a chair already inside. She sets it up on Blie's chest in the corner and charges at her, but Blue tosses the chair at Nightingale and connects with a thrust kick. She grabs a bag of tacks from under the ring and dumps them out. She brawls with Nightingale in the corner and tosses a chair at her head. Nightingale then flies off the ropes with Blue to send her colliding with the pile of tacks.

Nightingale sets up a table on the outside, then bodyslams Blue onto a chair in the ring. She ascends to the top and delivers a moonsault, but Blue rolls out of the way and Nightingale collides with the chair. Blue then grabs a barbed wire board from under the ring and sets it up on the table. She brawls with Nightingale on the apron, but Nightingale delivers the Doctor Bomb to send her crashing through the table and the board on the outside. She then pins Blue on top of it for the win.

Winner (and still): Willow Nightingale
